Reviews and Ratings
I had an amazing time at this hotel. The rooms were not only spacious with high ceilings and fabulous bathrooms but also had comfortable beds. The breakfast served was delicious and kept me full until dinner. The view from my private balcony over Schonbrunn Palace park was breathtaking. However, some staff members seemed focused on charging extra, and the breakfast cost was a bit high.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were exceptional, with high ceilings, fabulous bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. However, the pictures don't match the actual room standards unless they undergo a full renovation. The breakfast was satisfying enough to keep me full until dinner, but it could use some improvement. The complimentary wifi hotspot device was a nice touch.
My stay at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms in the old building were lovely, with charming details and a nice sitting area, although basic rooms were clean but not particularly appealing. The location was fantastic, with easy access to transportation and the beautiful Schonbrunn park nearby. The dining was good but slightly overpriced, while the service was friendly with some room for improvement during breakfast rush times.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The period historic rooms were really spacious with beautiful furniture but lacked privacy due to thin wooden doors and a strong cigarette smoke smell that made me nauseated. On the bright side, the Juliette balcony offered stunning views of the palace and gardens.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were huge, modern, and comfortable with quiet double-glazed windows, which was great, but they seemed to be in terrible condition, more like a cheap third-class hostel, which didn't match the price paid.
Although the rooms were not in the main hotel building as shown in the pictures and were a bit noisy due to poor sealing, they were quiet with effective air-conditioning, which was a plus for hot summer nights. The location was excellent in the Hietzing district, close to Schönbrunn Palace and convenient for local attractions and the City Centre via the U4 underground. The staff went out of their way to be gracious and accommodating, despite some instances of not performing their job clearly. The dining options were diverse, arriving earlier than desired at times, with a magnificent selection, though overcrowded on Fridays.
The hotel was situated on the ground floor with a view to the courtyard, offering a small hospital-like bed. While the room had only a fan and was overpriced, the service was a mix of not very polite and very hospitable experiences. The location was away from the center but very pleasant with good cafes, while the dining was exceptional but with room for improvement considering the pricing. Overall, a place with some charms but with a few drawbacks.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, located in a great spot with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The extra-large rooms were clean and offered a nice view, which is always crucial for me when choosing a hotel.
I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The rooms were gorgeous with a terrace, very comfortable beds, and truly felt like a four-star experience. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff, although I wish they had knocked before entering my room early in the morning. The location was superb, directly facing the magnificent Schoenbrunn Park, offering a range of nearby stores and restaurants. The dining options nearby were delicious, especially the fish dishes. Overall, a fantastic experience worth every penny.
The hotel's rooms, reminiscent of a 2-star hotel, were situated at the back and to the side, likely former staff quarters. Cleaning, especially vacuuming, needs improvement for a more appealing stay. Late-night food options are limited after 10:30. Nonetheless, the location is superb, near Schönbrunn Castle, providing easy access to shopping and dining. A good choice for those wanting proximity to major attractions and public transport options.
The hotel is ideally located near Schonbrunn gardens and the subway, making it convenient for exploring. The rooms feel like a home away from home, spacious, and cleaned to perfection daily. However, the service lacked friendliness and professionalism, with staff preferring written communication over direct interaction. The dining experience was satisfactory with a slight inconvenience during busy times. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's prime location and cozy rooms make it a recommendable choice.
My one and only evening at the hotel was quite a mixed experience. The rooms were of very high standards but very basic with no frills, almost like being in a travel lodge. Unfortunately, the room was filthy and looked like someone had been sick on the carpet, which was disappointing for a stay booked a year in advance for our 30th anniversary.
The hotel rooms looked different in size than what I expected but were surprisingly large and cool, though they had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke that made me feel nauseated. The service was a mix of being professional, courteous, and very helpful, yet somehow lacking in personal connection. The location was superb, being conveniently close to the Schönbrunn Palace and offering easy access to shopping and dining options. The dining experience was rich and excellent for some but lacking variety for others. Overall, it's a great hotel for its location but may have some room for improvement in certain areas.
The hotel offers period historic rooms facing the parking garage, which may result in noise. However, the rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and impressive with high ceilings, fabulous bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The breakfast is satisfying enough to keep you full until dinner. Overall, the rooms have a warm ambiance.
Staying in the older building with outdated rooms was a downside, but the spacious bathroom was a plus. The service was pleasant, especially Mr Jose at the front desk. The location was convenient for transport and family plans. The dining experience was good but could use improvements. The facilities met expectations.
